Sarah Fonzi is a Buffalo based sculptor and designer. She has worked on multiple community based projects that aim to make Buffalo more beautiful and equitable. Inspired by architecture, textiles, story telling and various industries she constructs narratives that aim to show our commonality.
Sarah graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a concentration in Sculpture and a minor in Museum Studies (BFA 2008).
Fonzi has been sculpting her whole life and continues to experiment with media and process. Sarah has exhibited in Atlanta, New York City, France, Buenos Aires, and Buffalo. Fonzi now works out of 1120 Projects on Main street and The Foundry on Buffalo’s East side and is currently their Board President. www.thefoundrybuffalo.org
She accepts commissions for large sculptural work in a variety of mediums. Fonzi often consults with developers and business owners for creative solutions to any existing problem.
